One of the unique benefits of living on Grounds is the opportunity to participate in the Professors' Picks program!
Professors’ Picks is a unique, annual tradition that allows on-Grounds residents to connect with professors and other faculty here at the University. Professors' Picks connects students and professors to engage in a small discussion group around a book, movie, podcast, or article, picked by some of UVA's favorite professors, who were nominated by students. Dinner and discussion materials are provided by HRL!
To participate, all you have to do is:
- Follow this link to the online sign-up form, logging in with your UVA email address.
- Find a discussion topic that interests you, make sure its date and time works with your schedule, and click the "Sign Up" button to participate.
- After signups close, watch for an email telling you how to pick up your book or access your electronic material.
- Enjoy your book, movie, podcast, or article during Winter Break!
- Attend the discussion on your selected date, early in the Spring 2026 semester! Dinner and discussions will be held at Student Health and Wellness.
Sign-ups will be open through Sunday, November 23 at 11:59 p.m.! These discussions fill up fast, so be sure to act soon!
