The end of the semester is fast approaching! Find answers to your questions about moving out of on-Grounds housing.
Housing & Residence Life works collaboratively to create open, welcoming communities on Grounds for students at the University of Virginia. Residents are empowered to engage their potential as scholars and leaders through self-governance and participation in residential area activities and leadership.
From incoming first years and returning undergraduates to transfer students, graduate students, and faculty/staff, residents encounter inclusive environments supporting the University’s academic, cultural, and social goals.
“The community in Brown is so welcoming and the location is A-plus. We are made of all kinds of students and love to bring new people into the fold! Being near to dining halls, classes, and libraries seems like a no-brainer but it is so important -- when you have an early class or know that you should go study, it’s nice to be close. There is a real opportunity and richness in knowing your neighbors, too. I have met some of my very best friends living on-Grounds.”
