Recognizing Outstanding Individuals
Resident Staff Awards honor those members of our program who have served their communities and staffs with integrity, excellence, and compassion. These awards give us an opportunity to recognize outstanding staff members and on-Grounds partners who contribute to the mission and work of Housing & Residence Life.
Descriptions of each of the awards are available on the 2020-2021 Resident Staff Awards page.
If desired, you may co-submit a nomination with another staffer. While writing to the 500 word limit is encouraged, it is not required. When writing your nomination, feel free to use the following prompts as a guide:
- What specific character traits do you admire about your nominee? How are they relevant to this award?
- What programs has your nominee led or what specific actions have he/she taken that embody the descriptions of this award?
- Describe a personal interaction that you had with the nominee that solidified to you how they were exemplary in this field.
- Provide quotes from this nominee's residents, friends, fellow staffers that describe the impact the nominee has made.
- Describe the specific efforts of the nominee in their residential community and the impact/success that resulted from it.
You will have the opportunity to preview your nomination before submitting.
